The quality of the pieces was impeccable, with a notable increase in submissions from the younger generation of writers from universities and colleges.

Featuring different themes/topics every year, Perspective Matters is a writing competition by Qazini, a Kenyan media organisation that aims to we use the power of stories to uplift, inspire, and challenge existing narratives and champion the spectrum of voices and perspectives from the African continent.
This year, we received more submissions than in 2021 from four African countries, the same as in 2021.
