Veteran actor, presenter, and writer, Mwalimu John Sibi-Okumu moderated the book launch of our newest release, Twisted Times: The Phantom by Vincent de Paul on Thursday 28 January 2021 at the Médiathèque Alliance Française de Nairobi. Vincent de Paul was the guest author for the John Sibi-Okumu’s Mbogi Ya MaWriters programme.
Mbogi Ya MaWriters is a springboard for new writing in Kenya, sponsored by Alliance Française de Nairobi, and it aims to promote independent up-and-coming Kenyan authors. The programme is held every last Thursday of the month.
The launch was attended by Vincent de Paul’s readers and fans, though it was restricted to only 50 people due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
John Sibi-Okumu engaged Vincent de Paul in a series of ‘Why?’ questions to understand the making of the Twisted Times trilogy, characterisation, and writing in Kenya.
