Sophie Kiwelu started her career as a banker at Kenya Commercial Bank in 1983 until 2002, when she opted for early retirement to pursue her dream in writing.

While she was still working in the bank, she wrote freelance feature articles for The Standard.

In 2003 she enrolled to study Journalism at Universal College in Nairobi and Creative Writing with The Writers Bureau, UK.

She is the author of The Mystery of Horses, a Christian motivational, and a novella, The Husband is Mine.

Sophie lives in Nairobi, Kenya.
