Eng. Peter Nduati was born in Murang’a County in 1953, did his O-Levels in Njiiri School and A-levels in Kenyatta College before joining Nairobi University where he graduated with a BSc in Civil Engineering in 1976 and an MSc Degree (University of Southampton) in 1979. From 1976 to 1986, he was an Engineer in Nairobi before becoming a Consulting Engineer. He retired from active consulting in 2020. He is a member of the IEK and Bomet University Council. His book Gooka: From the Village to the City has children’s and Braille versions and won the 2023 Afrika Redefined Indie Book Prize by Mystery Publishers. He is a conservationist of indigenous trees.
