Biography

Born Arabron Odongo Osanya-Nyyneque in New York City in March 1963 to a Kenyan father from Luo Nyanza and a Black American mother from Brooklyn, New York, Arabron Osanya is the second-born of a set of twins, with his elder twin sister arriving just seven minutes earlier. He also has two younger brothers who are twins. His formative years were spent in the United States, owing to his father’s diplomatic career (in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and later with organisations like the United Nations and the African Union, he also lived in France and Switzerland before eventually settling in Kenya, where he has resided for many years.

From a young age, Arabron had a strong affinity for acting. Although he attempted singing and playing musical instruments during his childhood, he found his true passion in acting and sports. His educational journey across different countries provided ample opportunities to engage in acting, but relocating to Kenya posed challenges in finding such opportunities. Fortunately, he began performing plays at the French Cultural Centre, now Alliance Française Alliance.

His voicing career began in earnest in 1990, voicing radio and television advertisements. By the year 2000, he was able to sustain himself solely through his voicing work. Arabron has lent his voice to numerous major corporations, including cigarette manufacturers, beverage companies, banks, airlines, bakers, shoe polish producers, pharmaceutical companies, and telephone networks. Over the years, he has also voiced various documentaries.
